We opened up for our first weekend yesterday. It was one of the most warm, and beautiful days of the year. While the restaurant will not be open to the public until the last weekend of June, the hotel is now open for springtime visitors. Next weekend is Memorial Day, which is a fantastic time at the Pridwin, because the restaurant is open for hotel guests who get the first taste of summer, dining al fresco overlooking the bay.
Returning guests will notice that we did not raise rates this year. The challenging economic climate is giving everyone pause and requiring sacrifice while we all work together to get through these tough times. Summer only comes once a year and we hope to keep the Pridwin an accessible and affordable option for our guests’ seasonal escape. Our rate freeze will also extend to our dining room menu and thanks to some of the economy-inspired discounts being offered by local vineyards, we expect to actually bring down the cost of a number of local wines. And the price of our famous all-you-can-eat Wednesday night cookout will remain the same as 2008, as well.
We were very happy to see we got a great nod from the New York Post today.
